What is Melanated Scribes?
Melanated Scribes Publishing started as an outlet for its creator, Katana Malone, to publish her writing as well as begin an independent journey into filmmaking. Over two years in the development stage, she decided she wanted it to also be a means for people of color to be able to share their work and for her to attract other filmmakers of color to work in a coordinated effort to share melanated stories.
In addition to stories, film, social media, books, & an upcoming comic book series, Melanated Scribes also features a magazine to showcase talented writers across the globe.
Products featuring Melanated Scribes’ official logo, quotes, & sayings will also be available in the shop.
